Two terrorist commanders arrested in Ondo

Two terrorist commanders were arrested at Omialafara (Omulafa), Ose LGA, Ondo State on August 9. 2022.

They are Al-Qasim Idris and Abdulhaleem Idris.

Jimmy Akpor, a major-gen. and director of defence information, said this in his statement.

The two suspects are being linked with the June 5 attack on St Francis Catholic Church in Owo. About 40 congregants lost their lives to the attack.

The military Wednesday announced the arrest of four persons also believed to have taken part in the attack.

They are, namely Idris Abdulmalik Omeiza (a.k.a Bin Malik), Momoh Otohu Abubakar, Aliyu Yusuf Itopa and Auwal Ishaq Onimisi. A combined team of military and DSS personnel apprehended the terrorists at Eika, Okehi LGA, Kogi State on 1 August 2022.
