Rivers pastor, celebrity couple wanted for drug dealingÂ

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has declared a Port Harcourt, Rivers state-based cleric, Faith Ughochi wanted for her involvement in drugs.

Ughochi is the prophetess and founder of the Christ Power Adoration ministries. Equally wanted for the same offence is a celebrity couple, identified as Igbo Ubiribo and his wife, Dianella Simba Allen.

According to NDLEA, the prophetess and the couple ran a criminal drug ring in Los Angeles, U.S. in which they recruited small girls as drug mules.

The anti-narcotics agency became aware of the suspects’ criminal act when on November 16, 2022, intercepted a consignment of Loud —a strong variant of cannabis about to be exported out of the country.

A freight forwarder handling the export, Ukoh Oguguo was promptly arrested, and she subsequently led the operatives to arrest four others involved.

They are Chikodi Favour, Obiyom Chiamaka, Nnochiri Promise, and Edward Omatseye (aka Montana).

The NDLEA said, “The 15-year-old favour was the first sales girl to be arrested at a fuel station at Ajah”, leading to further arrest of persons at a ” rented duplex accommodation” at Ikate, Lekki.

The NDLEA said it equally discovered another rented accomodation inside Richmond Estate,Lekki, used in warehousing drugs. The effort led to the arrest of Edward, who confessed to be working for the wanted couple.

The agency said it later discovered that Favour and Shalom are drug couriers recruited by the said Prophetess Faith.

Two of the suspects, Promise and Edward, are currently on trial, while the prophetess and the couple are on the run.

The NDLEA said it blocked a sum of N80m traced to the couple’s bank accounts and it is seeking a forfeiture order on two filling stations, located in Lagos and Port Harcourt, owned by the couple.
