Addax Jetty, located along Ozumba Mbadiwe Way, Victoria Island, and 20 other properties have been sealed for contravening physical planning laws of Lagos state.
Kehinde Osinaike, the general manager, Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority (LASPPPA), led the exercise.
He accused the company of failing to obtain relevant permit and for not leaving sufficient setbacks from the waterfront.
Equally, Osinaike said about 20 other buildings, situated within Felicia Alapare Elegushi Street, Kusenla and Gbangbala in Ikate Elegushi, were sealed too for similar purposes.
According to him, the affected properties were “either illegal development, construction without Planning Permits, construction without site certification or authorisation to move to site and construction in violation of the approval issued by LASPPPA among others”.
The agency said it would lead a voluntary compliance advocacy
“It is a criminal offense when you break Government Seal without authorization,” he said. Osinaike vowed that the agency would not relent on the exercise.
