Adamawa governor Finitiri wins at Supreme Court

The Supreme Court on Wednesday upheld the election of Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Finitiri.

The court dismissed the appeal filed by the All Progressives Congress and its governorship candidate in Adamawa State, Aisha Dahiru, known as Binani.

Justice John Okoro, leading four other justices of the Apex Court, declared Dahiru’s appeal as being unmeritorious.

The court deplored the former Resident Electoral Commissioner, Hudu Ari, who hastily declared Binani the winner. The court said that his action was “irresponsible” and “criminal.”
