3 children, others killed at private Christian school
A transgender, Audrey Elizabeth Hale, has shot six people to death at the Covenant Nashville school shooting in the United States. She was a former student at the school.
Mirror is reporting that Hale killed three nine-year-olds and three adults, including the head of the school. The police arrived in time and shot the 28-year-old shooter dead too.
A later police raid on Hale’s apartment revealed a map of the school she had studied and a manifesto she wrote before carrying out the attack.
Nashville police chief John Drake said that he “was literally moved to tears to see this and the kids as they were being ushered out of the building.”
US President Joe Biden called the shooting “heartbreaking, a family’s worst nightmare.”
He described the shooting a “family’s worst nightmare”. “It’s ripping our communities apart,” he added.
Biden called on Congress to pass an assault weapons ban, saying we “need to do more to protect our schools.”
