ASUU appeals ruling on strike suspension

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has appealed the judgement delivered by Justice Polycarp Hamman of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria, ordering it to call of its ongoing Industrial strike.

The court gave the ruling on Wednesday in the suit filed by the federal government against the university teachers.

Adelaja Odukoya, the chairman of ASUU, Lagos zone, urged their members to remain calm and united.

TheCornet had reported the ruling ending the seven months old strike. The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) also rejected the judgement.
