NAFDAC confirms Eimunjeze as new DG, Adeyeye’s exit

The National Agency for Food, Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has confirmed the appointment of Dr. Monica Hemben Eimunjeze as the replacement for Professor Mojisola Christianah Adeyeye.

Adeyeye had served in the position until recently. Her exit from the agency was  shrouded in mystery.

In a terse statement on Friday, NAFDAC said, “The Management of NAFDAC wishes to inform all stakeholders and the general public about the expiration of tenure of office of her Director-General, Prof. Mojisola Christianah Adeyeye.

“Consequently, the Federal Government has appointed the Agency’s Director of Drug Registration and Regulatory Affairs, Dr. Monica Hemben Eimunjeze @DrMonicaE as Acting Director-General with effect from 12th November, 2022.”
