Businessman Tunde Ayeni says own story in paternity tiff with mother of one

Businessperson Tunde Ayeni has stated his own story regarding a child a lawyer, Adaobi Alagwu, claims to be his.

Ayeni denies fathering a child with Alagwu and vowed never to be “involved” with her any longer.

“I will never be again. I do not have anything to do with her and her daughter and I will never have anything to do with them, ” Ayeni said in a statement he issued on Monday.

The one-time chairman of the defunct Sky Bank added: “The rumours alleging that I gave her certain material possessions including a house, an office and cars are all lies. They are figments of the imagination of mischief makers.”

Ayeni said apart from his three daughters he has with his wife, Abiola, “I do not have any child elsewhere.”

The businessperson was short of saying a DNA test he had conducted to ascertain the paternity of the child turned out to prove his innocence.

Ayeni said, “However, for the sake of the child involved, even though we are not related to her, my wife and I have chosen not to speak of the content of the DNA.

“The Ayeni family is not in any way connected to the child and we will never be. Thus I refute the rumour of my connection to her and her mother.”

Ayeni said he decided to speak to protect his “hard earned reputation, my children’s future and the need to stand by the right principles even in the face of so much blackmail.”
