Police discover drug hidden inside car bonnet
Police operatives in Lagos state have arrested a man, after discovering suspicious parcels believed to be Indian Hemp hidden in the boot of his Sienna bus.
According to a police statement, operatives on stop-and-search stopped the 32 years old Kalu Orji at the Aguda area of Ogba, in Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Area.
The officers, attached to Area G Command, said they found 21 parcels of the illegal substances in the bus, marked BEN 883 LW.
The suspect resides in Angle 90, Auchi, Edo State.
“Luck, however, ran out of the suspect when vigilant policemen attached to Area G command on top-and-search, stopped the vehicle at about 1540hrs on Friday, August 5, 2022 at Aguda near Excellence Hotel, Ogba, Lagos State.
“The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi, fdc, mnim, has directed that the suspect and exhibit be transferred to the police command for investigation,” the statement said.
