Man kills mother for advising him against taking hard drugs
A man from Gombe State has killed his mother for advising him against taking hard drugs.
The suspect, Garba Abubakar, 26, was alleged to have strangled his mother, Salamatu Abubakar aged 45.
Police commissioner Ishola Babaita said, “The suspect strangled his mother because she usually advised him to stop taking hard drugs. The victim was rushed to General Hospital Kumo where she was confirmed dead by a medical doctor.

One of the suspects, Adamu Lawal, 53, was paraded for the alleged rape of his neighbour’s 10-year- old daughter, who usually took animal feed to him.
“This suspect took advantage of that and forcefully had carnal knowledge of the little girl,” Babaita said, adding that investigation was still on.
