Owo Catholic church victims for mass burial Friday

Victims of the St. Francis Catholic Church attack are to be given a mass burial on Friday. The Catholic Diocese of Ondo said this in a statement.

The Director of Social Communication of the Diocese of Ondo, Rev. Fr. Augustine Ikwu, confirmed the development.

He said the mass burial would take place at a new cemetery at Emure Road, Owo.

TheCornet reported some gunmen invaded the church, killing 40 worshippers and injuring several others.

The medium also reported that the Ondo State Governmenthad solicited donations from public-spirited individuals and corporate bodies to treat victims of the terrorist attack.
