Wike invites Buhari, Oshiomhole, Obi for project commissioning

Governor Nyesom Wike of River State has invited President Muhammadu Buhari to commission the Nigerian Law School campus in the state.

The governor, a usual critic of the Buhari-led administration, shunned members of his political party – the Peoples Democratic Party – in his choice of guests to launch new infrastructure in the state.

Equally, former chairman of the All Progressives Congress Adams Oshiomhole is another guest that would commission a project in the state.

The others are Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi, and Emir of Kano, HRH Aminu Ado Bayero.

Bayero will inaugurate the Dr Peter Odili Cancer and Cardiovascular Disease Diagnostic and Treatment Centre, in the Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers on Monday.

The center is named after the state’s two-term governor, Peter Odili.

For his part, Oshiomhole would commission the Rumuepirikom Flyover, located also in Obio-Akpor on Wednesday.

Obi will inaugurate the Nkpolu-Oroworokwo Flyover on Thursday in Port Harcourt, the state capital.
