What I did to reconcile with Wike -Atiku

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has revealed the steps he took in his bid to reconcile with Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike.

Atiku made the disclosure at Channels television election town hall meeting, attended along with his running mate Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.

“I have met (Governor) Wike two times in Port Harcourt, two times in Abuja, one time in London, personally. It is not on my part; it is on the other side; I am waiting for him,” Atiku, said.

Wike and four other governors aggrieved with the opposition party have distanced themselves from the standard bearer and the party.

The others are Governors Seyi Makinde of Oyo; Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia),  Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu) and Samuel Ortom (Benue).

The five governors are insisting that the party’s national chairman Iyorchia Ayu resign his position for fairness.

The aggrieved governors are opposed to the party’s  national chairman and the presidential candidate (Atiku) being from the same northern region.
