Vulcanizer hides drugs in Bournvita cans, arrested
A vulcanizer, Iyanda Ogunleye Yaya, has been arrested over his involvement in drug trade.
While serving as a drug mule, Yahaya had attempted to export quantities of cannabis and ecstasy pills, which he concealed in beverage drink–Bournvita.
The drugs were being processed for export to Dubai, UAE, through the NAHCO export shed.
Yahaya, according to the NDLEA, was paid N4,000 for his role.
Similarly, anti-narcotics agents arrested Nura Zakariya’u and Alkasim Abubakar, with 161 blocks of cannabis weighing 152kgs. Also recovered from them were various quantities of Exol and Codeine based syrup. The two suspects were arrested along the Zaria-Kano road, Kwanar Dangora.
Another suspect, Amaechi Johnson was apprehended in Imo state, while 708 kilograms of cannabis were recovered from him.
