Video showing me in ‘compromising condition’ coming – Pantami

Isa Pantami, Nigeria’s Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, says he has uncovered a plot by those he called ‘forces of evil’ to release a video showing him in a ‘compromising condition’. The Minister did not however name those behind the purported video.

Uwa Suleiman, an aide of the minister, said, “We are in receipt of credible intelligence that the same forces, who have been championing a well-coordinated and richly funded campaign against Pantami, are now unto the next stage of their diabolic project’.

He added: “This time round, the forces of evil are shopping for willing partners as well as their usual avenues to release doctored videos purporting to show the minister in an alleged compromising condition as a way of creating injury on his image.

“We are least surprised by this recent move which is a clear intensification of their desperation, having failed in their assault on the personality of the minister, despite their previous efforts.”

The minister equally stated they would be consequences against those he said merely wanted to soil his reputation.

Pantami has faced heavy backlash and strident call for his removal from office over his religious views. An online platform had unearthed a video wherein Patanmi eulogised deceased Al-Quaeda leader Osama bin-Laden and supported the killing of infidels (non-believers).

He, in another instance, reportedly described Boko Haram members as ‘fellow Muslims’, a statement many have said underscore the minister’s sympathy for the terror organisation.
