Two APC campaign offices burnt over Adeleke’s sacking

Suspected supporters of Governor Ademola Adeleke have torched two offices of the All Progressives Congress in Ede North Local Government and Ede South Local Government, both in Osun State.

The APC in the state alleged the PDP had recruited a militia group to create unrest in the affected communities.

But, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) denied any involvement in the attack.

The arson came in the wake of the sacking of Adeleke by an election petitions tribunal.

The tribunal, based on the complaint of over-voting by former governor Gboyega Oyetola, decided to deduct the illegal votes recorded by the Biomodal Voter Accreditation System (BIVAS).  The reduction in the votes gave Oyetola a lead, hence Adeleke’s removal.

However, one of the three tribunal judges however dissented by upholding Adeleke’s election.
