Tinubu’s eligibility suit dismissed

The Federal High Court, Abuja, on Wednesday dismissed a suit filed by one Ngozika Ojuona against the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress Bola Tinubu.

The plaintiff had asked the court to disqualify Tinubu, and equally the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party Atiku Abubakar over alleged violation of electoral law.

Ojuona equally joined the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the attorney-general of the federation as the other defendants in the suit.

Ruling, Justice Fadima Muritala, the trial judge, said that Ihuoma lacked the locus standi to institute the suit. The judge said the plaintiff was a mere “meddlesome interloper.”

She, consequently, dismissed the suit.
