Tinubu’s ally who said Nigeria did not need restructuring dies

Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is bereaved owing to the death on Wednesday of his ally, Professor Tunde Samuel.

Until his death, Samuel was a member of the powerful Governor’s Advisory Council, the highest decision-making body of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos State.

As an advocate of true federalism for Nigeria, Samuel once said during his appearance, in 2019, on TVC breakfast show that ‘Nigeria does not need restructuring.

“We don’t need restructuring until we practice true federalism,” said Samuel, who was a national delegate to the 2014 National Confab.

Samuel was also one-time provost of the recently upgraded Lagos State University of Education, formerly Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education.

His burial arrangements are yet to be announced.
