Tinubu, Umahi meet in Abuja
Two presidential hopeful Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Dave Umahi, the governor of Ebonyi State, met Friday in Abuja.
Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos, posted pictures they both took.
Tinubu wrote, “Received H. E David Umahi at my residence this morning”.
The details of their meeting could not be ascertained as at the time of going to press.
The Cornet had reported the ruling by a federal judge removing Umahi, his deputy, and 16 state lawmakers from their positions.
Justice Iyang Ekwo hinged his ruling on illegality of their defection from the Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress.
As a result of the ruling, Umahi and other affected politicians have filed application for stay of execution on the ruling.
Moreover, an Ebonyi State High Court headed by Justice Henry Njoku has given an order that Umahi and other affected persons remains in office for a renewable period of seven days.
