Two wanted kidnappers arrested in Abuja
The police have announced the arrest of one Saidu Abdulkadir aka Dahiru Adamu for kidnapping. The suspect and another arrested during the raid of their den are said to be wanted by the police.
SP Josephine Adeh, spokesperson for the federal capital territory command of the police, said that the law enforcement carried out midnight raid of the camps, located between the borders of Nasarawa and Abuja via Kuje area council, on Thursday.
She said the suspects engaged gunfire with the police but were overpowered. Two hostages Habu Yakubu and Isufu Abubakar were reportedly rescued unhurt.
She said that the suspects had kidnapped and killed one Mr. Sunday Yahaya Zakwai, the District head of Ketti village.
“While efforts are still ongoing to apprehend the other wanted suspects on the run, the Commissioner of Police FCT, CP Benneth C. Igweh psc, mni, wishes to reassure criminals in FCT that there is no hiding place for them.
