Telephone helplines to call following Nigeria’s terror scare

The Nigeria Police have released telephone helplines to citizens, in their bid to forestall likely terror attack in any part of the country.

Usman Baba, the inspector-general of police, released the emergency telephone numbers on Thursday.

In the statement released on his behalf, Baba assured of 24/7 prompt response whenever a call is made to the dedicated numbers.

“Residents within the FCT are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious or abnormal occurrence and persons to the Police through the following emergency lines: 08032003913, 08061581938, 07057337653, and 08028940883, ” the statement read.

In addition, the police boss allayed citizens’ fear and urged them to go about their lawful businesses and normal social lives/engagements.

He equally said that the Nigeria Police and other security agencies would ensure citizens are safe in any part of the country. However, Baba dismissed the US and other western countries’ alert of a possible terrorist strike.
