Suspected terrorists kill two in Ondo

Two people were killed at Okeluse Community, in the Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State, Southwest Nigeria.

The incident reportedly happened on Sunday evening, according to a report. The casualties of the latest attack were reportedly the owner of a petrol station and his attendant.

This is the second attack on the agrarian village in barely two weeks.

The assailants, suspected to be cattle herders, had killed three persons and burned several houses in the earlier attack.

Funmilayo Odunlami, the spokesperson for the Ondo Police Command, confirmed the incident, according to the PUNCH.

The state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu had vowed the previous attack would be the last. His assurance failed to stop the other attacks on the community.

Akeredolu, during his condolence visit to the community, had said, “These herdsmen are becoming too problematic …With this one they have done, we will ensure that it is their last evil act here.”
