Students loans to start with federal institutions
Akintunde Sawyerr, the managing director of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, NELFUND, has revealed that the scheme would kick-start with only federal institutions.
Sawyerr stated this at a press conference in Abuja. The agency had recently begun a public sensitisation on the eligibility and processes for loan application.
In a recent article written by Fred Akinfala, NELFUND’s executive director of finance and administration, he mentioned that an applicant for the loan must present an admission letter issued by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB.
