Soldiers feared killed as terrorists attack military checkpoint

Suspected terrorists have attacked a military checkpoint in Enugu state, in Nigeria’s southeast region.

Some soldiers and policemen are feared dead from the onslaught that took place at Obeagu-Amodu, along Amechi-Agbani road in Enugu South Local Government Area of Enugu State.

Anonymous sources reportedly said the suspected terrorists were in two Lexus sport utility vehicles and one Toyota Sienna bus, from which they sprayed the soldiers with bullets.

Three previous attacks by terrorists at the same checkpoint had resulted in deaths of some soldiers.
