Seven kidnapped, six regain freedom after paying N4million ransom

Seven persons including Muhammad Galadima, the district head of Kwangami village, in the Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State, were kidnapped on Monday.

Scores of residents were injured while fleeing from the armed kidnappers.

“We are currently living in fear because the bandits are always around us abducting our people and asking for ransom.

“Just recently, they abducted 10 of our people on their farmlands who are still in captivity because we cannot pay the ransom,” said Dahiru Amadu, a survivor, quoted in a report on the incident.

Equally, six captives regained their freedom from kidnappers in the state, after paying N4million ransom.

They were abducted from Kazauda village, in Gusau LGA, of the state some days ago.
