Seven abducted relatives rescued
Seven relatives abducted three weeks ago in the Kuje area council of Abuja, in Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory (FCT), have been rescued.
The rescued persons are related to citizen Gabriel Oladapo.
Aderibigbe Isaac-Taiwo, the chairman of Pegi community in Kuje, confirmed the abductees liberation.
“They were rescued alongside other victims (farmers) between the ages of 13-17,” said Aderibigbe Isaac-Taiwo.
“Five female and two males were released in the early hours of Sunday,” he told PREMIUM TIMES.
He equally confirmed that over 30 persons had been kidnapped in the area in the last two years and over N50 million paid in ransom.
“As we speak, the man and his family have relocated from the community,” Mr Taiwo said.
