Robbers raid bank in Osun

Armed robbers have raided a new generation bank in the Iragbiji area of Osun State. The incident reportedly took place at about 3.12 pm.

The details of the robbery are still sketchy as at the time of filing this report.

TheCornetNews confirms that there have been repeated bank robbers in the state in the last few months.

In March, a Wema Bank branch, located in Okuku, came under robbery attack.  That hit left two people dead, one of whom was a farmer sitting in front of his house.  The woman leading the robbery gang reportedly shot him to death.

At different times in June 2021, the underworld lords raided banks in Apomu and Ikire, both in Osun.

Similarly, in August, robbers felled a 30-year old police constable, Abdul-Jelil Dauda during a bank heist in Iree.

The armed men did not spare the police division located in the polytechnic community either.
