Police arraign journalist Wale Adedayo over accusation against Gov. Abiodun

The Nigeria Police Force, Ogun state command, has arraigned former chairman of Ijebu East Local Government, Wale Adedayo, following a petition written against him by Governor Dapo Abiodun.

The police arraigned him at the Magistrate’s Court, Isabo.

Adedayo’s ordeal began with a petition he wrote to former governor Olusegun Osoba in which he accused Governor Abiodun of inadequate funding of local government councils in the state. The governor however denied the allegation.

Following the disagreement, councilors of Ijebu-East LGA apparently acting on the instruction removed Adedayo from office. They accused of  mismanaging public funds.

The police arrested Adedayo on Monday.
