EFCC arraigns Okorocha on money laundering charges

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has brought former Imo governor, Senator Rochas Okorocha, before Justice Iyang Ekwo of the Federal High Court to face charges of money laundering.

TheCornet had reported how the anti-graft agency arrested Okorocha in his house last week, in order to ensure his attendance in court.

Okorocha had claimed his forceful arrest was a ploy to stop him from participating in the imminent screening exercise for presidential aspirants of the ruling All Progressives Congress.

But, the EFCC rebutted the claim, saying the former governor had continually spurned its invitation.
