Police cordon off court as Adedoyin’s trial kicks off in Oshogbo

Police of Osun state command have mounted a cordon around the state high court sitting in Oshogbo as the trial of Chief Raheem Adedoyin is about to begin.

Adedoyin and six of his staff at Hilton Hotel, Ile-Ife, are being arraigned over the mysterious death of a post-graduate student of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Timothy Adegoke.

Adegoke, a usual lodger at the hotel, was declared missing. It was later discovered that he died in the hotel and was secretly buried by hotel staff, who didn’t inform the police of the development.

TheCornet reports that the case was initially scheduled to be heard in Abuja before the police transferred it to Oshogbo, that capital of Osun state.
