PDP takes another local govt. in Kaduna poll

The opposition Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), has won another Chikun Local Government Area in Saturday’s rescheduled poll in Kaduna State.

The electoral umpires declared PDP candidate Salasi Nuhu Musa winner, with 19,402 votes, as against All Progressives Congress’ Suleiman Liman, who garnered 14,829 votes.

Dr. Sanusi Gambo, the returning officer, announced the results, adding the PDP equally won eight councillors out of the 12 wards of the local government area.

Prior, the Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission declared the PDP winner of the poll in Kajuru LGA. Ibrahim Gajere emerged winner in the LG, scoring 14, 432. He defeated APC candidate and incumbent Cafra Caino, who got 9,095 votes.
