Pastor arraigned for stealing

The police have arraigned a pastor, Emmauel Oko Mensah, for stealing a Hyundai Elantra saloon car.

Simon Apiosomu, the police prosecutor, said the pastor (Mensah) with Lighthouse Chapel International in Ghana, refused to handover the car after resigning from the service of the church.

The prosecutor added the car was worth $20,000. He also said the police have impounded the car.

In her ruling, Evelyn Asamoh, presiding over the case brought before the Accra Circuit Court, admitted Mensah to GHc 150,000 with two sureties.

The defendant will appear again in court on October 12, 2021.
