I didn’t campaign for Peter Obi, others – Oyedepo

Pastor Davide Oyedepo of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, has revealed he did not campaign for any of the former presidential candidates or political parties, including Labour Party’s Peter Obi.

The influential pastor revealed this during a Sunday sermon at his church in Ota, Ogun state.

He said, “Nobody had ever told me what to say in this world.

“I have never campaigned for anybody or speak on anybody’s behalf and I will not do that till I go to heaven.

“There is no (political) party in this country that didn’t come to me for prayers and for advice.

“I advised them, some, they didn’t take. Those who chose to take it, they see results; those who said no, they are going about it.”

Oyedepo’s statement comes amid the publication of a leaked audio conversation between him and Peter Obi. In the leak originally published by Peoples Gazette, Obi could be heard saying to the clergyman: Daddy, please speak to Christians in Southwest and Kwara, this election is a religious war.”
