Okorocha remanded in EFCC custody as APC begins screening

Senator Rochas Okorocha has been remanded in EFCC custody. A federal high court sitting in Abuja hearing money laundering charges against the former governor gave the order on Monday..

This is as Okorocha’s party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), begins the screening of its 23 presidential aspirants on Monday.

The trial judge Inyang Ekwo adjourned till Tuesday to hear Okorocha’s the request for a bail.

Okorocha’s alleged accomplice, Anyim Chinenye, is also be kept in EFCC custody. he has also asked for a bail.

TheCornet had reported that the EFCC 17 counts charge against both chieftains of the ruling APC.
