Ogun youth bludgeoned in grisly daylight murder�

Suspected assailants have bludgeoned a young man to death in a spine-chilling murder that took place at Elega housing estate area of Abeokuta, in the capital of Ogun State, Southwest Nigeria.

The police believed the assailants to be cultists, stating that an informant reported seeing eight men who chased the victim down to where he was eventually killed with a piece of rock slammed on his head.

“Bystanders who spoke to the responding Police officers narrated how the hoodlums carried a weighted stone and smashed it on the deceased’s head, which led to his death.

“Exhibits and weapons of crime, have been recovered while the body of the deceased have also been evacuated by the Divisional Police Officer and deposited at the General Hospital Morgue, Ijaye Abeokuta,” Superintendent Omolola Odutola, spokesperson for the Ogun State police command said.
