Two Kogi terrorists escape manhunt by troops

Two wanted terrorists operating in Kogi State, Kachalla Ibrahim, and Shu’aibu, have escaped from their hideouts before the advancing troops of the 12 Brigade, Nigerian Army could reach them.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the army said that the marshy terrain and fallen trains hindered the troops from nabbing the terrorists.

“The terrorists fled on sighting the advancing troops,” the army said. It also stated that a “significant quantity of arms and ammunition, including eight boxes of 7.62 x 54 link ammunition containing bandoliers of 250 rounds each and one box of high-velocity grenades” were recovered from the terrorists’ base.
