Tinubu swings into action, appraises security situation

President Bola Tinubu will be meeting the country’s service chiefs to hold a crucial meeting on the rising insecurity in the country. The President was away for 19 days, a trip his handlers claimed was a “working visit” to France and the United Kingdom.

On the President’s watch, Nigeria has seen resurgent killings, particularly in Benue, Plateau and Borno States by armed men in suspected ethically motivated strife.

A report on the planned meeting said President Tinubu would be reviewing the insecurity situations, with a view to containing it. Several notable Nigerians and organisations have condemned the killings in the affected states.
