Tinubu in Lagos, joins West African leaders for ECOWAS at 50
President Bola Tinubu landed in Lagos State on Tuesday and will be joining a slew of West African heads of state to celebrate 50 years of existence of the sub-regional bloc–Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
Upon landing at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja, President Tinubu was greeted by official courtesies, led by Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, as well as a military honour.
As the chairman of the ECOWAS, Tinubu would be ‘highlighting the economic bloc’s milestones’.
On Saturday, Tinubu will commission some federal projects, including the Section one of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway; the Lekki Deep Sea Port Tax Credit Concrete Road; as well as flag-off of Section II of the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway, and the 7th Axial Road.
President Tinubu will observe the Eid-el-Kabir prayers at the State House, Dodan Barracks, before returning to Abuja.
