In Kogi state, primary, secondary, and tertiary schools students are to observe a compulsory holiday from Friday, November 10 to Tuesday, November 14.
Wemi Jones, the state’s commissioner for education, science and technology, said the decision was to allow free conduct of Saturday’s governorship election.
Kogi, Bayelsa, and Imo states will be having off-cycle governorship elections on Saturday, November 11.
The Kogi poll is expected to be a two-way fight between ruling party’s candidate, Ahmed Ododo, and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) standard bearer Dino Melaye.
