Missing BRT passenger found dead
Oluwabamise Ayanwole, the young woman who went missing after boarding a BRT bus at Chevron Drive junction, Lekki, has been found dead.
The PUNCH reported that Ayanwole’s relative informed it of her death.
“We are at the morgue. We have confirmed the corpse,” the relative reportedly said.
A man reportedly found the corpse dumped by the roadside and informed the officers at Ebute Ero Police Station.
The corpse has been evacuated to a morgue awaiting an autopsy. The autopsy will determine whether any of her body part is missing.
Meanwhile, the police said they have launched a manhunt for the BRT driver.
TheCornet gathered that Ayanwole on the fateful night she went missing had boarded a BRT bus heading to Oshodi.
While on the bus, the young woman sensed danger and decided to send a voice note to a friend of hers.
She said in the video, “There are three men and one woman in the bus. The woman is sitting at the back. That’s the number of the bus in case. Please pray for me.’’
