Man seeks divorce from wife over death threat
A man has asked a court to grant him divorce from his wife over sundry allegations, including threat to life.
The man, Ibe Kufu, on Thursday alleged before the Customary Court, sitting in Jikwoyi, Abuja, that his wife was a spendthrift and that she squandered N2 million business capotal he gave her.
“My wife is a reckless spender.
“She is unable to account for the N2 million I gave her for a business,” he told the court.
“My wife has been trying so hard to kill me. She has told me several times that she will kill me,’’ he added.
He also alleged that his wife brings her boyfriend into their matrimonial home, whenever he travels.
He begged the court to save his life by granting him divorce and custody of the children of the marriage.
The respondent, Oma, who is a businesswoman was not present in court.
The presiding judge, Labaran Gusau, adjourned the matter until March 24 for further hearing.
