LASG visits bereaved parents of Chrisland Schools’ student, vows justice

The Lagos state government said it paid a condolence visit to the bereaved parents of Whitney Adeniran, a pupil of Chrisland Schools, who was electrocuted to death during the school’s outdoor event at the Agege Stadium.

Folasade Adefisayo, the commissioner of education, said that the government assured the deceased’s parents of getting justice.

She confirmed the autopsy had shown the late student was electrocuted.

The management of Chrisland Schools had in the wake of the incident lied that Whitney slumped and died.

The school claimed she had reported sick and did not participate in the outdoor games it held at the stadium.

Whitney’s parents rejected the statement, saying the school was trying to conceal the real cause of death to save its reputation and avoid being accused of negligence. The deceased was buried on Thursday.
