Nigerian soldier hides stolen ammunition in rice sack

A Nigerian soldier has been arrested after his eagle-eyed colleagues discovered stolen ammunition hidden in a sack of rice. He was among three soldiers arrested for the same offence by a special military unit – Operation Desert Sanity soldiers.

Soldiers on stop and search operations at motor parks discovered the theft.

A report said two of among the rogue military men were heading to Markudi and the other, Abuja.

Recovered from them are 250 7.62mm rounds, four loaded magazines and 110 rounds and another 14 rounds.
