Lagos police confirm singer Harrysong under interrogation
Nigerian singer Harrysong is under interrogation, after he accused his friend-turned-foe Soso Soberekon of attempted murder. Harrysong made the allegation
Ben Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Lagos Police Command, said Harrysong was in custody and writing a statement.
“He is currently in our custody and writing his statement,” the PPRO said.
Operatives from the Airport Police Command in Lagos detained the Reggae and Blues singer, upon his arrival into the country on Tuesday.
Harrysong had alleged in a podcast, ‘Frankly Speaking’ – hosted by media personalities, Nedu, Husband Material, Toun, and Naomi – that Soberekon sent hired assassins after him.
But, Soberekon denied the allegation and subsequently slammed his accuser with a lawsuit. Soberekon is demanding a retraction, an apology, and N500,000,000 for compensation.
“As a matter of fact, I always mind my business, stay on my lane and put smile on people’s faces. It is very disappointing that Harrysong will make such a false, reckless, and defamatory statement.
“Please to my supporters, remain calm, this will be addressed and will be handled properly and legally. Thanks.”
In his riposte, Harryson said, “You dey sue me for social media. Dem ask you question? Abi you sef go for interview? With your small prick and flat blockus. Empty konkom. You go chi chun thing.” (sic)
