Kwara nursing mother rearrested for drug dealing
A nursing mother has been re-arrested for dealing in drugs one month after she being granted bail for the same offence.
The suspect, Rashidat Adebayo, 38, was first arrested and granted bail on 24th January 2022.
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, in a statement on Sunday, said its officials arrested Adebayo again in Offa, Kwara State, on February 17, for being in possession of “assorted drugs such as Tramadol, Swinol, Diazepam and Pentazocine injection ampules.”
Similarly, the anti-narcotics agency said it arrested two drug dealers, Sani Isa (aka Bilaz), and Bala Yerima, in Hong, Adamawa state. The suspects were nabbed with 239 blocks of cannabis sativa, weighing 209kg.
Another arrest was made in Bauchi state Command, as the NDLEA intercepted a truck marked FFF 422 XB for concealing 164.8kg of cannabis sativa in cartoons of Peak milk.
The truck, the agency said, departed Lagos for Maiduguri before it was intercepted at Azare, in Bauchi.
