Two stolen children rescued, traffickers nabbed
Enugu state police command has rescued two stolen children and arrested two women in connection to crime. The suspects are Miracle Orji (24) and Blessing Ani (34).
Miracle, reportedly stole a four-year-old, identified as Ogechi Edeh, and was on her way to see Ani, when the police nabbed her. Her arrest led the police to uncover Ani as the other member of the human trafficking syndicate.
Following Aniās arrest, she led the police to Abuja, to recover another child she earlier stole and sold off. The second child, identified as Destiny Okechukwu, was renamed Chibuike by the traffickers.
The police said Ani confessed to have been a human trafficker since 2017.
