Keyamo sues Atiku, EFCC, ICPC, CCB

Festus Keyamo, the minister of labour and productivity, and spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, has walked his talk by suing the standard-bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar.

Keyamo had given security agencies 72 hours within which to arrest and investigate Atiku for theft of public funds through a shell company. The minister, on Friday, indicated he had filed a suit seeking Atiku’s arrest.

The background to case has one Micheal Achimugu, an estranged aide of Atiku releasing a recording on the PDP candidate. Atiku could be heard on tape telling then president Olusegun Obasanjo to give names of trusted aides who would serve as directors in a shell company to which government contracts would be awarded. The company is to serve as a Special Purpose Vehicle. Atiku had neither confirmed or denied the recording.

In his suit, Keyamo equally as defendants the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) and the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB).

“I have a rich history of such battles and I am not stopping,” Keyamo tweeted on Friday.
