Ikedi Ohakim, a former governor of Imo State, Southeast Nigeria, escaped gun attack, but four of his police orderlies died in the Monday incident at Oriagu in Ehime Mbano LGA of Imo state.

According to PUNCH, a source said that Ohakim’s driver’s bravery saved him and his children.

The source alleged Ohakim was “the main target but his driver was smart enough to beat them.”

“Disappointed, they blocked his backup vehicle and burnt it. The four policemen with him were burnt,” the source claimed.
