13-year-old student shoots school principal for scolding him

When the principal of Primose Hill Primary School, in Johannesburg, South Africa, turned up for work on Friday, he had no inkling evil was lurking in the corner. Briskly he walked along a foyer, finding a bunch of pupils idly seated. The unnamed 51 years old principal scolded the pupils, telling them to pick up their books to study.

He immediately left the scene, without nursing a fear any of the pupils might harm in. The principal moved toward the staff room area, only to find one of those he earlier reprimanded. A shot from the angry pupils hidden weapon dispatched the principal to threshold of death. He however survived and currently undergoing treatment.

The grade six student was arrested and will be tried for attempted murder.

The police said they “have launched an investigation to also establish the origin of the firearm.” The young shooter will also undergo counseling, according to the country’s education authorities.
