Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh killed, as group vows revenge Â

Israel has killed Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh at his residence in Tehran, Iran. His group has said he was killed during “in a treacherous Zionist raid” and vowed to avenge his death. Haniyeh had only on Tuesday participated in the inauguration ceremony of the new Iranian president Masoud Pezeshkian
Iran says it is investigating Haniyeh’s death.
The visit to Iran for the inauguration was Haniyeh’s final public appearance.
The BBC is reporting that a senior Hamas official Moussa Abu Marzouk called the raid a “cowardly act that will not go unpunished,” according to the Hamas-run Al-Aqsa television channel.
